Professional background

I started my journey by studying Chemical Engineering, so I can speak the same language that science and engineer innovators speak. I was exposed to the world of pharmaceutical start-ups by working at the research department of one. I moved into academia to use my imagination and develop my novel biomaterials. Thereafter, I moved to a FTSE 100, GSK, to learn what it was like working on a manufacturing site and learn how to operate a business well. After being awarded first-class honours at university, I decided to move into the energy industry; having witnessed first-hand energy poverty, it was an industry that was close to my heart. During my graduate scheme, my passion for business grew from reading books. I am now a Venture Scout for a venture capital firm.
