Professional background

My background is 30 years investing personally and professionally. I worked at Morgan Grenfell, Barings, Newton and most recently at Willis Towers Watson. I have managed gilt funds, investment grade and high yield global bond funds and most recently I managed an alternative credit FoF including private, securitised, HY and emerging market debt. I left WTW two years ago (where I also advised some of the world’s biggest pension funds on which investors to use). My wife was a partner at Deloitte. She has moved to a portfolio career of non-exec roles. Freed of big company compliance rules, and with more time, we are now starting to add early stage equity to our portfolios.
