Professional background

Supportive investor with broad business experience but new to angel investing, keen to help inspiring innovators. I hold a mathematics degree, an MBA and am a qualified actuary (economics, investments, accounting, insurance, stats, etc). I am a partner in a start-up insurance company where I have led numerous multi-million transactions. I also chair the finance committee of a local secondary school. I am an individual investor but would be happy to co-invest with another angel.

Areas of Expertise

I have training and experience in accounting, marketing, sales, fundraising, tax, legal work and negotiation. I would therefore be a good complement to an entrepreneur who is innovation-focussed and desires a partner to help on the organisational aspects. I would not expect to be heavily hands-on, nor inferring, but would be keen to be highly informed of progress and would hope to have my skills drawn-upon wherever they can be of use.
